Just noticed a difference between how Windows and DF taskbars handle a Lync conversation window with multiple conversations open.

Pictures probably say it best...

So Lync on the Windows taskbar only has one button, but it gives you access to specific conversations via the previews?

There is one button when when Options > IM > Enable Tabbed Conversations is checked. Registry key is

Code

IsTabbedConversationWindowEnabled_1
. http://masteringlync.com/2014/10/14/client-registry-keys-part-six/

Note that the preview itself is also different. Windows displays the contact's picture and online status (reg, green, grey, etc), while DF displays a thumbnail of the conversation window.

Shooting for the stars, I know. I just realized this now, so obviously it's not very important. But in the interest of 100% parity, thought I'd mention it.
