Config is Dell xps 15, Dell D6000 dock, 2 monitors, Dell display manager, laptop closed (main Dell s3422dw, samsung 27)
Sometimes when waking up config in the morning, the dell drops resolution and windows and DF cannot see the correct upper resolution that this wide monitor is supposed to run at. If I reboot the dock then it goes back to what it should be. I ran the firmware update utility for the Dell d6000 dock. What else could be the issue here?

If you save a Monitor Profile at the correct resolution and then try to load it when the issue happens, does it work?

Will try that. I had not ever saved a profile prior.

That does not help because the machine is no longer seeing the correct upper resolution of the monitor....if I try to manually select the right res, its not even in the list. If I unplug the dock and replug then the machine sees the right resolution and all is fine.

Ah okay, there likely isn't much we can do there then. DisplayFusion uses the Windows API to set the monitor configuration, so if the resolution isn't appearing as an option DisplayFusion won't be able to load it.

If you reach out to the company who made the dock they might be able to help you out :)
