In Windows 10 when I exit a game etc. Windows changes my open apps window sizes. Is there a way to always keep window's maximized or at least make every new window to open as maximized?

To counter my problem I currently use Windows Tablet mode but it has its own querks and annoyances.

You could use the Save/Restore Window Position functions to help here.

  • On the Settings > Functions tab, set key combinations on the "Save Window Positions" and "Restore Window Positions from Last Save" functions
  • Apply the settings
  • Before launching the game, run the "Save Window Positions" function
  • After exiting the game, run the "Restore Window Positions" function

Hope that helps!

Thanks this seems pretty good, but can I automate this?

Just remembered that we already have instructions for this! This guide should do what you're looking for: https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/automatically-saving-and-restoring-window-positions-on-dockundock/?ID=5540c67a-5e2b-4f41-b88c-de4d9c2fa354#first

It's written for docking/undocking laptops, but the same steps apply to launching/exiting a game.

Hope that helps!
