I have three 1080p monitors and a a 4K TV that I've split into 4. The 4K monitor is #2. Whenever I move a window (maximized) to it, the window will maximize to 2.3 and 2.4, but never 2.1 or 2.2. When moving the window to 2.1 and releasing, it takes over all of monitor 2. When I drag a window to monitor 2.2, it takes 2.2, 2.4, and the two monitors to the right as well.

I have very basic settings, I just setup the multimonitor and have added a wallpaper. Any thoughts?

Could you attach a copy of the info from the Settings > Troubleshooting tab? I'll replicate your setup here and see if I can reproduce the same results.
  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the Copy to Clipboard button
  • Open Notepad, paste the text, and save the file
  • Reply with the text file attached

Thanks!

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue here yet, but apparently VMware will only allow me to have 1 monitor at 3840x2160, and not that, plus the other 1920x1080 monitors, so at the moment, I can't fully test this out.

Would you be able to send me a debug log for this issue?
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "Logging: Important Only"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • The next time it occurs, note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

Since it's easily reproduced, I had no problem turning debug on and just doing it again at 13:55. As a result the log is "only" 2500 lines long.

Good news! I was able to reproduce this here in VMware finally. We should be able to get it fixed up, and I'll let you know when we do!

Thanks!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

Is there any way to test this Pro feature after the trial has expired? It took longer than I had to test.
