If I have just my main monitor on, with Chrome or whatever fully maximized, then I turn on one of my other monitors, the main monitor screen goes black to readjust. After the screens come back on, Chrome or whatever window will no longer be fully maximized, and thus shows the borders. Any chance this can be fixed?

If you exit DisplayFusion, then do the same thing, does this still occur? I believe this is a Windows issue, due to the monitor re-detection that occurs when powering a monitor on or off.

Didn't think to try that, but no actually it works correctly with DF closed. I can have a couple different windows, Chrome/Firefox/Foobar each maximized over the other, and after turning on a display all of those windows will have borders. The same thing actually happens when turning off a monitor, where the border will show, but after DF finishes adjusting, the borders go away no problem.

Another thing I just noticed, after turning on the second monitor and a program shows borders, clicking the program in the taskbar to minimize it, then clicking again to bring it back up will get rid of the borders.

Can you try updating to the new DisplayFusion 8.0 Beta, found here:

I've actually only ever been using v8b6.

Edit: Just got the new beta 7 update, and the same thing is still occurring.

If you disable the DisplayFusion taskbars only (Settings > Taskbars > Disabled "Enable multi-monitor taskbar"), then try this again, does that make any difference?

Yep! No resizing issues when that is disabled.

Ok, thanks! I can't reproduce this here, but I think it's an issue related to the "work area" being different due to the DisplayFusion taskbar. Could you attach a copy of your troubleshooting info (steps below)? I'll do some testing here with a setup similar to yours to see if I can reproduce this.

Thanks!

Sure thing.

Edit: So something I just thought of, I have the DisplayFusion task bar showing on all monitors, including my main monitor. After I set "Show on All Monitors" to the default value, it got rid of the resizing issue. Unfortunately I like the functionality provided by the DisplayFusion task bar too much to use the default bar :)

Good to know, thanks! I'll test using that option enabled next week and keep you posted on what I find out.

I wasn't able to reproduce this issue here, so I'm not sure what troubleshooting steps to take next. I'll keep this open and have a think on it to see what I can come up with :)

Thanks!
