First, I'm loving your program. It does what is says and much more. Long time DisplayFusion user (even beta) here.
I was wondering if you could bring down the amount of memory the program uses. DF runs on my laptop, which is most of the times not connected to another monitor. Still it takes more then 50MB of resources and the hidden program another 5mb. I've disabled everything, except a few titlebar buttons and taskbars (while no extra monitor is connected).
I think this is too much for a program that does nothing, while waiting for monitors to get attached.
Suggestion:
On tab "Functions", the 3 new icons (DF beta 11) in the grid need a tooltip.
Right click to enable would be great.
Can I disable the wallpaper feature all together (also remove from the system icon menu).
Keep up the great work!
Most of that memory is allocated by the .NET Framework, so there's not a lot we can do there. You can enable the Memory Trim option in the DisplayFusion Advanced Settings, which will trim the memory usage more aggressively, but note that it can cause some stability issues on some systems.
We've tried to add ToolTips to those icons in the column headers, but the ListView control doesn't seem to support it. To work around it, we've added ToolTips to the green indicators in those columns.
To clarify your request, are you looking to be able to right-click a Function and choose to enable it as a TitleBar Button?
You can disable the Wallpaper feature and remove it from the UI using the following administrative setting: http://www.displayfusion.com/KB/AdminSettings#blockui-wallpaper
Please let me know if you have any other questions at all.
Thanks!
