OK, I've searched the "discussion" threads and didn't see any info, I'm trying to add the Edge shortcut to the taskbar on 2nd monitor. While I'm able to get the shortcut placed, the shortcut doesn't function. Tried quite a few different tactics, to no avail. Two people use the PC, so for simplicity sake I keep the default browser set with Chrome, but I use Edge all the time (OK 90% of the time as Edge doesn't do everything I want). Any clues how to set this up?

Create a shortcut and use this as the path:
%windir%\explorer.exe shell:Appsfolder\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe!MicrosoftEdge

Then pin it to the taskbar.
At least it worked for me :)

Thank you Alan, but that's not quite doing it for me, I'm probably doing something incorrectly... I can create an Edge shortcut that works if clicked on, but can't get that in DF TaskBar Shortcut without it opening a generic Explorer window.

If you open Edge on the second monitor, then right-click its taskbar button and choose "Pin this program to taskbar," that should add it as a (working) shortcut to the DF taskbar.

Thank you so much Keith... perfect! Thank you Alan and Keith, it's very much appreciated.

Using the "Force app to start on same monitor as taskbar" doesn't appear to be working...

Could you attach a screenshot of the shortcut properties? (right-click it, choose "Edit")

Thanks! I was able to reproduce that here as well. I've put it on our list to fix up, but in the meantime, you can work around it by creating a new Window Location rule, like the one in the attached screenshot.

Thanks!

Thanks... I'll wait as I'm using version 8.0 (beta 1).

Ah, in 8.0 Beta 1, Window Location has been replaced by Triggers. I've attached a screenshot of the same workaround using a trigger.

I am using the latest Beta 8.1.1 and all i want to do is set new Microsoft Edge Windows to start on the middle monitor and maximised.

I am using Nvidia Surround, but when using triggers the triggers do not seem to fire and change the window location. only seems to be universal apps that are affected.

at the moment i want to move away from chrome due to multiple issues. but the annoyance of the application loading spanned accross all three monitors when i last had it maximised on a single monitor is just too much to bear with.

@FuzzyLogic: Can you attach a screenshot of the rule you're trying?

So this successfully launches Edge, but what about passing a specific URL to be opened?

It looks like you can launch an Edge window with a specific URL via the Windows command prompt, so a shortcut with these parameters will work:

Application: c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
Command Line Arguments: /C "start microsoft-edge:https://www.displayfusion.com"

I've attached a screenshot for reference.
