I just downloaded the program off of steam and this warning error came up

That's strange, what version of Windows are you using?
It sounds like the installer didn't detect your version of Windows correctly. Are you able to run DisplayFusion now, or does this come up every time you try to run it?

I can run it through the little box at the top of the window that opens up into list of options if you right click it but if I try to open it it still says that
It looks like Steam is detecting your computer as Windows XP, not Windows 7. Are you running Steam in compatibility mode?
