I am running Windows 10 and program pop-ups are randomly placed across the monitor. I have 2 monitors (1 laptop and one ultra wide monitor split into 3 screens).

As an example, when working in Outlook. I double click an email to have a pop-out. The pop-out may appear on any of the virtual screens. I often need to scan around all 4 to find it, often thinking it didn't load.

I would like the pop-outs to be done within the same screen (virtual screen).

I tried a fix on here (settings for outlook.exe) and the pop-outs appears behind the current view, therefore, I removed it. Can I make a setting across all programs and ensure it appears above the current view (act as a pop-up).

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the "Centre child windows over the parent window" option in DisplayFusion for this yet? That might help with most of the popups. Thanks!

Thanks Jon! I tried that and didn't seem to solve the issue. Perhaps I need to restart my computer.

In an Outlook calendar (Virtual Screen 1), when double clicking on a meeting, the new pop-up appeared in Virtual Screen 3 still.

Jon with your direction on the setting menu, I did stumble on the option "Move newly opened application to the current window". This did solve it for Outlook. Now just need to figure out how I prevent all other programs from opening to the current window.

Instead of using that setting to move all windows, you could try creating a Trigger rule for "window created" with a path like "*\outlook.exe" that has an action that moves the window to the current monitor. That way only Outlook (or whatever apps you configure) would be affected. :)
