Running Windows 11 24H2 x64 26100.2314, DF 11.0 and Teams (Windows Store app) 24295.605.3225.8804.
I just upgraded to DF 11 today, no other changes to Windows or apps (made intentionally by me at least). This behavior only started today. If I open Microsoft Teams from a DF taskbar pinned item, it will eventually freeze, becoming completely unusable. The title bar does not always say Not Responding, but nothing is clickable/usable. It is not clear to me how long Teams has to be open before this happens, or what action is triggering it to freeze. I am then forced to close Teams and re-open, upon which it will become usable for some amount of time before freezing again.
My DF taskbar pinned item has these options set:
Application Path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MSTeams_24295.605.3225.8804_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\ms-teams.exe
Metro App ID: MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe!MSTeams
Force app to start on same monitor as taskbar: Yes
Is this app a Metro App: Yes
I am doing further testing to see if the following scenario also presents issues:
1. Have DF running on secondary monitors.
2. Open Teams from a primary screen - start menu or Windows taskbar - with no DF entry point.
3. Move Teams to a secondary monitor so the application appears on the DF taskbar.
Has anyone else reported anything like this? It seems entirely too coincidental that this was the only software change made before the exhibited behavior started.

I tested it out here and it seemed to work fine. Let me know if launching it from the start menu causes the same issue

It happens every time for me when opened from a DF taskbar pinned item. The length of time before it freezes varies from minutes to hours.
It seems to not occur if I have DF running, but start the Teams app from the a native Windows taskbar pin on a different monitor.

I apologize, I think this may be related to another software that runs on my machine. It is a bit tricky to figure out which customization software causes hiccups when things go off the rails. Sometimes it is DF, sometimes Windows Defender (not the case here), sometimes Start11 (not the case here), and sometimes Windhawk (successor to 7++ Taskbar Tweaker).
If I find anything indicating a DF issue I'll post back, but I think this can be safely resolved for the time being.
Okay strange, I'll keep it running here and let you know if I run into any issues as well.
Thanks!

So quick update. I'm pretty certain this is being caused by being opened from DisplayFusion somehow. When DF is not running, Teams never freezes. If I open Teams from my native Windows 11 start menu, never freezes, even if I move it over onto a DF taskbar.
However, if I pin Teams to the DF taskbar, then open it from the DF pin, it freezes shortly afterwards. For clarification, this is the "new" Teams rolled in with Microsoft 365 Enterprise. It is not the classic Teams.

I think downgrading to v10.1.2 works around this issue for now. But it'd be nice to see it work in v11. I wonder if this could at all be related to some sort of WebView2 conflict between DF and Teams. New Teams for sure uses WebView2.
I've been running it here for a few days with no issues. Do you receive any Webview errors trying to launch the wallpaper settings window, or applying a wallpaper?
Interesting! Not sure why that would make a difference but well do some testing with and without it enabled here.
Thanks!

This definitely is the trigger. I tried upgrading to v11.0.5, then re-enabling the option for the pinned item to be a Metro app. The freezing behavior immediately appeared so I have since disabled that option again.
Ok, that's really strange! I don't get that behaviour here at all with that option enabled. If it's working for you with it disabled, I would recommend just leaving it that way. If we get more reports of this, or we eventually reproduce it here, then we will investigate further.
Thanks!
