I have been using Display Fusion for 2 days now and it seems to be working pretty well. Setting up a Window Position Profile to set applications at specific virtual spaces.
There is one problem I’m not able to fix. I use Microsoft Teams on a daily basis at work, I’m trying to get it to stay at a certain position on my screen. Whenever I load my Window Position Profile, it just doesn’t take the Teams window to my desired position.
I’ve tried different options with “Process Filename”, “Window Class” and “Window Text” to try and get the window to a certain position but with no results. I’m only using 1 monitor and 5 virtual spaces on Windows 10. What else can I try?
If I can mange to get this last thing to work I would definitely consider to buy the software.
Thanks for sending that over. it looks like we were able to reproduce the issue on our end, so We've added to our list to fix up. I've noted down your contact information, so we'll be sure to let you know if we have any news on it in the future.
I think I jumped the gun on this. We were able to reproduce an issue with teams not loading off a "Window Created" trigger, but it looks like yours isn't loading from a windows position profile.
Could you send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:
On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
I have the exact same situation, that the main screen of MS Teams is not positioning correctly.
BUT, when MS teams is starting, the splash screen is detected and DisplayFusion is applying the trigger to position the splash screen instead of the main screen that appears right after that.
If this isn't what William is experiencing, I'll shut up!
(Edit: added screenshot of the splash screen)
(Edit2: I installed v9.7.2, Beta 8 > sadly no difference)
I believe William was having the issue when trying to load his Window Position Profile. Is your issue happening when trying move the window with a Window Position Profile, or through an automatic trigger?

Hi Owen,
My issue is with the auto trigger. Maybe better to create a separate post then?
We are aware of teams having issues firing off triggers, and have it on our list to fix up. What trigger event are you having troubles with?
Thanks!
Pretty standard 'Window Created' trigger, see screenshot.
And after some (a lot) trial and error, the settings that are shown in the screenshot WORK, but only when MS Teams is shutdown when the main screen was maximized, so when you start MS Teams again, it opens maximized and the trigger work correctly. I've tested this multiple times with the exact same view in 'restore down' window mode and maximized window mode.
Oh, the Window Text "| Microsoft Teams" (quotes included!) is the unique identifier for the main screen, so the loading screen isn't affected.
Glad to hear you found a work around! I've added your vote to the main bug with the "Window Created" trigger, so we'll be sure to let you know if we have any news on it in the future.
