Sometimes when I minimize a window on the second taskbar (the one that DisplayFusion 3.0 adds) the window will flash and then maximize itself. I have to move everything back to the main monitor in order to minimize it successfully. I've encountered this with Acrobat and occasionally with Word. I'm wondering why this is happening. I'm running vista x64 if that helps. Thanks.

I've never run into the minimize issue before, but give the new DisplayFusion 3.0.1 a try. It fixes a bunch of Taskbar issues. For the taskbar thumbnail previews, I have that on my "to do" list for a future release. :)

Sorry to revive an old topic - compelled to relay my own experience with this very behavior.

I'm using Windows 7 x64 and DiplayFusion Pro v3.06. If I minimize a window to the secondary task bar, it goes through the motions (window animation is displayed) and then instantly restores to a maximized state. It does only appear to affect maximized windows. Moving the window to my primary and straight back again and then minimizing fixes the issue. I experience this behavior on a regular basis with Outlook 2003 SP3 and Microsoft Word 2003, and Mozilla Firefox.

I experimented further with restoring instead of minimizing a window and this resulted in a tiny window showing a fraction of the title bar including the minimize, restore and close buttons. Strange.

No problems with thumbnail previews although I suspect that's because I'm on a later version than this topic discusses. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Sam.

The version currently in testing, 3.1, has some fixes that should take care of these issues. :) It should be released mid-August.

Just thought I'd post a followup after installing 3.10, which I've been using for a few days now.

I'm a happy cutomer ... I have only had one window refuse to minimize to the second taskbar (restoring instantly) - this was a maximized Sun VirtualBox virtual machine window (not a full screen VM). Much better performance in the context of this particular problem, although you may still wish to investigate further.

Thanks,

Sam.

In an effort to cleanup the DisplayFusion forum, this topic is being locked and archived because it applies to an older version of DisplayFusion. If you are using the latest version of DisplayFusion and would still like some assistance, please create a new topic and I'll be happy to help you out. Thanks! :)
