Hi,
I'm using the mirror selected area function to mirror a portion of my screen and make it a draggable window. The application running in the background flickers in the new window. The frequency is increased if I decrease the polling rate. I've tried changing the polling method but there's no change.
Thanks.

Seems like it's related to the polling being out of sync with the update rate of the application. If I enable vsync and its locked to 30hz/fps then it doesn't flicker.
I was previously using nvidia's "fast" vsync option so that the application will render unconstrained. OBS seems to be able to capture without flashing using this option so there must be a way to tune it.
Hello,
Could you send me over a video of the issue happening?
Thanks!

Hi Owen,
Thank you for your response. I apologize that it's taken so long to generate this reply. I had been away from this PC for quite some time. I've generated a screen recording to show some of my settings and the issue I'm having with the mirror. As you likely assume, the mirrored area window is in the bottom center of the screen.
Thanks!

Hi Owen,
Here is the information as requested.

Hello,
Thanks for sending that over, I can't seem to reproduce this on my end. Does the issue happen if you mirror your full monitor, or a window, rather then a selected area as well?
That's an interesting note about v-sync as well. So the issue happens if you have v-sync disabled, or set to "fast"?
Thanks!

Hi Owen,
Thanks for assisting with this.
I tried the screen mirror function with VSYNC set to Fast then Off, and I get the same results either way.

However, this attachment is with vsync enabled.
I would like to be able to run with VSYNC set to fast to reduce latency.

Hello,
Thanks for sending those over. Unfortunately the way mirroring works is pretty limited, and we don't really have any control over how it lines up with vsync, so there's nothing we can really do here.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
