Please tell me how to get my second monitor to work again after using the "disconnect monitor" option.

I was having issues with software that wasn't compatible with dual monitors so I needed to temporarily disconnect my secondary monitor. I was aware of the "disconnect" option in the monitor configuration so I used that as I was hoping to avoid physically unplugging it. I assumed the option would be replaced with an option to reconnect the monitor, or the option would be located somewhere in the same window. I can't find it. Now I can't get my secondary monitor to come back on, even after restarting Windows and shutting down Display Fusion.

I'm using v4.0.1 on Windows 7 64x.

In that same drop-down list where you selected "Disconnect this Monitor," you should be able to select the "Extend Desktop to this Monitor" option, then Apply the Settings.

Please see the attached screenshot for reference, and just let me know if that doesn't work out.

Thanks!

That did work. I tried that last night and didn't think it did; turns out my monitor has a delay and stays blank before coming back on. I just need to wait longer. Anyway, problem solved. Thank you.

I have a similar issue as this. I have 5 monitors and all are functional. But when I recently started up my PC only 4 can be actively on at a time. I tried to enable to missing one, but it immediately disables a random one that now will be disabled. I have attached the log file for you.

If you enable the fifth monitor with the Windows display settings instead of DisplayFusion, does it work? Or do you get an error there?

When I install the display fusion software it removes my Nvidia control panel ability to adjust any monitor settings. This is further exacerbated by my OS being new windows 10. I am unfamiliar with any new changes. I did check the control panel for the monitor and it does not show the 5th monitor. If I am not able to resolve the issue, I will format and reinstall win7. Any other ideas before I do?

Try doing Win + R to open a Run prompt, and entering desk.cpl, then click OK. That should bring up the old Windows Screen Resolution dialog. Does the fifth monitor show up there?

Yes, it shows up, when I tried to extend destop, it now has all three on the main video card and has disconnected a USB to vga adapter.

But after playing with it for two more tries of chase the monitor I have all five again.

Amazingly help thanks
