Error: An error has occurred while applying your new Monitor configuration.
Please check your settings and try again.
Error: Failed to call SetDisplayConfig. [HR: 31]
[System.Exception]

New computer. Want to change between tv and two monitors. It seems like one of the monitors are slow waking up, and maybe this creates some issues. If I spam the function while the monitor is awake the function some times work.

EDIT: After testing a bit, I have a workaround while I wait for a fix. I can call the function that changes from tv to monitor, get the error, press ok quickly. This wakes up the monitors but does not change the profile. While the monitors are awake I can use the function and successfully change from Tv to my monitors.

Changing from the monitors to the tv this isn't a problem since the tv isn't in sleep mode.

Hello,

Interesting, so the issue only happens when switching from the TV's to the monitors the first time, as the monitors are asleep?

Thanks!

Hi, Owen!

Yes, going to tv from monitors, and monitors after the first time (when they are awake) works fine.

I think there should be some delay or wait function after first error, then try again before returning an error.

Hello,

If you open up the DisplayFusion advanced settings, can you enable "Don't Show Error When Load Monitor Profile Fails" and see if that helps?

Could you also send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:
  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!
