I don't know if the problem here is that DF isn't detecting the monitor layout properly or if it's not auto-loading the associated Monitor Profile for that layout. I have a laptop that I dock to a dual-screen setup (total of 3 monitors) when at work. When I unplug the dock it recognizes the single screen layout and loads that Monitor/Wallpaper Profile correctly, but when I plug it back in it's having trouble detecting that layout and applying the correct profiles.

I'm trying to use the Trigger feature to save the Monitor Profile every 120 seconds when on my three screen docked profile, and then to restore the window positions when it detects that the monitor profile changes to the three screen docked profile, that way when I unplug the dock to go into a meeting and all of the windows get collapsed into the single screen it will restore them when I get back. It's not working at all, and I think it's because it doesn't recognize the profile correctly to trigger any of the functions.

I'm up-to-date on version 8.1.2

If you open the DisplayFusion Monitor Config window, does it show the monitor profile name correctly detected here? What if you re-save it here, does it show it correctly then? Thanks!

It does not show that it has detected the profile, but if I save it then it does show detected.

It actually worked correctly this morning as far as loading the correct monitor/wallpaper profiles when I plugged in my dock (and showing as detected in the monitor profile configuration). The triggers I created to save the window positions on a timer and reload them on profile change still aren't working for some reason though.

I've attached a screenshot of my trigger settings

The Trigger settings look good. If you assign a key combination to the "Restore Window Positions" function on the Settings > Functions tab, and manually run it the next time you dock, do the positions get restored?

The new Window Position Profiles feature may be what you're looking for now. It's available in the current 9.2 Beta, and if you have any feedback, we'd love to hear it!
