Hello,
I just encountered mouse lag problem again in DisplayFusion 9.7.1 beta 5 with Windows 10 20H2. I'm wondering if there is anyone that having the same problem?
After DisplayFusion exit then everything works fine again. Any suggestion is highly appreciated!

Hello,
Were either of you on Display Fusion 9.7 or 9.7.1 beta 4 before you updated to beta 5?
Thanks!

Hello,
I didn't have 9.7.1 beta 4 executed on Win10 20H2 yet and don't have installation package now. I could try it if you could provide a 9.7.1 beta 4 download URL.
Hello,
I'll attach the link for beta 4 below. Can you give that a shot and see if it works?
Thanks!

Hello,
Thank you for releasing 9.7.1 beta 4. ust tried to install it with all default settings, I didn't discover the mouse lag symptom.
Also had same experience with 9.7.1 B5
Upgraded from 9.7.1 B4
I noticed mouse and screen freeze briefly every 5-6 seconds, then fine until next freeze.
Great product! I downgraded to 9.7, but with the link you provided I am going to upgrade to 9.7.1 B4

9.7.1 beta 4 works fine with no lag.
No logging enabled while using beta 5.
Hello,
Can you try updating to our new Beta 6? We're hoping to have it fixed up there.
Let me know how that goes!

I'm having the same issue with mouse lag on 9.7.1 beta 5 but my Windows version is 20H1.
9.7.1 beta 6 did not fix the issue for me.
Downgraded back to 9.7.1 beta 4 and the problem is gone.
Hi Steve,
Can you try updating back to Beta 6, head into the advanced settings, and enable "Disable System Hooks (Polling)", and see if that helps?
Thanks!

Reloaded beta 6 and enabled "Disable System Hooks (Polling)".
Restarted DisplayFusion but the lag was still there.

I also have the same issue in 9.7.1 beta 6.
Attaching minimal and detailed log files.
Both of these logs were taken without disabling System Hooks.

Hello,
Could you try disabling all 3 hooks listed in beta 6, and see if there's any improvement?
Thanks!

Hi,
Installed beta 6 and disabled all 3 hooks: mouse lag is still present.
By the way, I suspect the lag to impact not only mouse but the whole display as task manager is also frozen when the mouse is irresponsive.

Hello,
Is it still lagging after restarting your computer after disabling those hooks?
Thanks!

Update to beta 6.
Reactivate all hooks.
Reboot.
No lag so far

This morning, with no specific reason, the app seemed to relaunch.
Since then the lag is back so I have quit.
Hopefully it will stop lagging after restart, I will post on that later.

Confirmed,
After reboot, my beta 6 with all hooks activated has no lag issue.

So, the lag suddenly appears and can be stopped by quitting Display Fusion beta 6.
After a reboot, no lag until the next issue.
And so on...

This is all very interesting.. I couldn't work out what was causing my lag of mouse and display etc... But am seeing the same thing with 10 20H2 and 9.7.1 Beta 6. I was actually looking for issues with Taskbar on my second screen, appearing over the top of windows which are set to maximum. This is especially annoying with Edge or Chrome.
Happy to do some testing on this also.
To be honest, it feels like it has been happening for months.
I've had betas for ages, but didn't click.
Andrew.
Hi Andrew,
We were able to reproduce the issue on our end, and we're looking into it. If we need to collect any information from you, we'll be sure to let you know.
Thanks for the offer!

Hi Owen,
Just to confirm, that since turning off:
Disabled System Hooks (application, Polling and Shell), my system has been running much better.
Please note, that it isn't just Mouse Lag, it relates to Windows and Applications when they are moved around.
Very happy to have been able to replicate it. Look forward to reading the release notes for future releases.
Andrew.

Hello,
Thanks for sending that over. We believe we have a fix that will be released in our next beta version. We'll be sure to let you know once it's released.
Thanks for all your help with the testing!
Hello,
This issue should be fixed up in the latest beta, available here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta. Please let me know if you still run into any trouble after updating.
Thanks!

Hi Owen,
Thanks, beta 7 fixed the mouse lag issue that I was seeing.
I don't know if this is related, but I see a similar lag when opening the settings page. During the time the splash screen is playing, the system repeatedly lags. Once the splash screen is gone the lag stops.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Steve,
Interesting, does it happen just the first time you open the settings page, or each time?
Thanks!

Hi, I also experiment the lag when opening settings but that exists for a long time. Never reported it as it is not so big a trouble.
I haven't been able to reproduce the mouse lag when opening the Settings window here. Are you guys running laptops or desktops?
Could you attach a backup of your DisplayFusion settings? I'd like to try restoring them here and see if it's related to specific settings being enabled. (Settings > Options > Export)

Disabling system hooks fixes the lag ... but then my title bar buttons don't stay with the title bar precisely when I move a window around.
System hooks on still creates mouse lag 9.7.1b10
Hello,
@thegooddoctor Are you referring to the original mouse lag issue, or the mouse lag when opening the settings window?
Thanks!

I also have nasty Mouse Freezing issues with the most recent version of DF Pro. As soon as I turn off the program the issue is gone. Can I upload some debug info for you?
Hello,
@AndrewMorison39070 How did disabling application hooks work for you?
Thanks!

Still having problems. No issues with CPU usage. I'll need to try it again with DF turned off altogether.
I think my home machine has upgraded to 21H1, but I'll have to check when I get home tonight.
Andrew.
Hello,
Can you try the following steps and let me know if that helps?
1) Open the Windows Settings > Power & Sleep > Additional Power Settings
2) Click on "Change Plan Settings" > Change advanced power settings
3) Expand "Processor power management" and make sure Max processor state is 100, and try setting the minimum to something a bit higher
Thanks!

I will try this too. It's a i76850k Desktop machine in my case. I'll set the minimum to 10% for testing.

Hello,
@Hoja Let me know how that works for you.
@AndrewMorison39070 Could you send me over a backup of your DisplayFusion settings? You can grab them in the options tab of the DisplayFusion Settings window, using the "Export Settings" button.
