I was wondering why I can't save the same monitor configuration under different profiles. I would like to have one configuration with one set of audio devices and another configuration with another set of audio devices. The easy way would be able to save them as different profiles but Display fusion won't let me do that. The other option would be to have a hotkey setup for audio devices but the only one that I can find just cycles through them.

It's not possible because DisplayFusion does some stuff automatically (loading assigned Wallpaper Profile and/or audio device) based on the detected Monitor Profile. So, if you had two Monitor Profiles exactly the same, each with different assigned Wallpaper Profiles and audio devices, DisplayFusion wouldn't know which wallpaper/audio device to load when it detects the monitor layout :)

At any rate, if you're just looking to load a specific audio device with a hotkey, you can do this with a Scripted Function. Please see the attached screenshot for an example.

Hope that helps!

That looks easy enough.

However, instead of having Display Fusion detect the monitor profile then set the wallpaper, icon, audio devices, why not have Display Fusion detect the selected configuration and use that to set the monitor profile, wallpaper profile, icon profile and audio devices? That way you could have a games setup that has one icon set, wallpaper set and audio devices and a work setup that has another icon set, wallpaper set and audio devices. If you need a default, just use the first one located in the Monitor profiles list.

If you just want to have two different sets of wallpaper, desktop icon layout, and audio devices, you can do that with scripted functions as well. I can give you a sample of that if you like too :)

I'm not sure what you mean by "detect the selected configuration and use that to set the monitor profile, wallpaper profile, icon profile and audio devices." What would DisplayFusion be detecting?
