After the newest chrome update yesterday, chrome always crashes to desktop after a second or two, and it's blaming Display Fusion before it dies on me, ive tried killing the application before starting it, and even starting the computer without Display Fusion running but it still wont start on me. Any ideas would be helpful or maybe trying a few edits to DF settings might help. Never had an issue for about a year after buying this great product too!

After restarting the program and disabling multi monitor windows I can startup chrome with no issues, could be what is crashing it? After resarting the program its back to crashing it again. Sadly no workarounds just yet

DisplayFusion shouldn't be causing it to crash, Chrome just shows that message for any application that uses hooks. DisplayFusion uses hooks for the taskbar buttons, titlebar buttons, etc.

You can prevent DisplayFusion from hooking Chrome by creating a rule on the DisplayFusion Settings > Compatibility tab, and enabling the "Disable Application Hooks" option.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, and making an exception for chrome didn't help, it has to be Chrome itself. I had to go with the beta build and managed to carry over my saved data. Thanks for the advice, love you guys and the program!

No worries! We've just released DisplayFusion 9.4 Beta 3, and it no longer hooks Chrome. We had to make some changes and workarounds for Chrome since the DLL blocking will eventually make it into the stable version of Chrome.
