My main PC has two monitors and normally most of my applications are maximized.

when I use Remote Desktop to logon to my PC, it adjusts the size and positions of the windows to fix my new monitor setup. When I disconnect and logon locally they do not always restore.

The worst case is maximized windows remain maximized but no longer fill the monitor.

Could DF catch this situation and fix it?

Not sure if we could auto-fix that, but we do have an open feature request for the ability to save and restore window positions, so that might help out. I'll add your vote to that and we'll post an update when we're able to implement it, so that you can try it out.

Thanks!

Add my vote on that too, please.
And if possible, include Desktop Gadgets in there as well.

Vote added! Desktop gadgets behave differently then normal windows, but we'll see what we can do :)

In the latest DisplayFusion beta (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/), we’ve added two new Functions on the Settings > Functions tab for saving and restoring window positions. Just assign key combinations to them (or set them as TitleBar Buttons), and you should be all set!

Thanks!

I'm not sure this is quite what I will use, but I used the new scripting capability to modify one of the C# functions to do a restore followed by maximize, and added that as a Titlebar button so I can fix my maximized windows.

thanks!
