I have one monitor configuration for work and another for gaming that I use DisplayFusion to manage. When applying monitor profiles, DisplayFusion no longer displays the "Do you want to keep this configuration" count down box.

I have gone into advanced settings and tried to turn on notifications but they already appear to be enabled, yet no notification is shown.

Furthermore, if I accidentally try to apply a monitor profile that uses a monitor that's currently turned off, DisplayFusion gets stuck in this annoying loop of constantly blanking my monitor, trying and failing to apply the profile, then blanking the monitor again, the only way to break out of it is to log out or reboot.

Please can we have the confirmation dialogue back? I'm not a morning person and I quite often pick the wrong monitor profile when I get to my desk in the morning to work :)

Thanks for sending that over, everything looks good there. Could you send me over a debug log while applying a monitor profile? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Strange! If the issue comes back just let us know.

Thanks!

So if I apply a profile that changes the layout of one monitor, I get a "do you want to keep this configuration" prompt appear.

However, if I apply a profile that disables one monitor and activates another instead (such as my profile to disable my work monitor and activate my HDTV for gaming) then I don't get the "do you want to keep this configuration" message appear.

This seems to happen fairly consistently do you want me to send a log?

Yep a log would be great

What's the name of the monitor profiles you're loading as well?

Ok, at 6:14 time today I changed from my "Work Mode" profile, to my "Game Mode (120hz)" profile, and did not see the confirmation dialoge.

Log file attached as requested.

Thanks for sending that over. We have some changes coming in our next beta that might fix this up, so we'll let you know once it's released.

Thanks!
