Like it says above...

DF Pro 9.8

Click on "Show in Windows desktop context menu: Tick appears. Click Apply button, short pause, tick disappears and no context menu entries appear.

DF service is running.

Tried running DF as administrator, no difference.

Thanks. :)

Hello,

Strange, if you open up your registry settings and head to "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Binary Fortress Software\DisplayFusion\ShowDesktopContextMenuItems" and set that to 1, and then restart DisplayFusion, does that work?

Thanks!

Yup! That's fixed it, sort of...

Having set the value in the registry to 1, the entry does appear in the context menu, however, further testing, involving unchecking the box in settings results in a short pause. The tick then reappears in the box, which possibly implies that the registry isn't being touched at all, at least in my case.

Hello,

Interesting, if you launch DisplayFusion as administrator, does the issue persist?

Thanks!

Just checked this. Running DF as admin makes no difference. I've tried looking to see if any "security" related things are preventing any changes, but I've not come up with anything so far.

Hello,

That's really odd. Do you have any security software that might be preventing DisplayFusion from writing to the registry?

Thanks!
