Re: Windows 8 Pro x64 > clean install > three weeks old
All standard windows in this system are displaying small coordinate boxes in the upper left and lower right when moved. See screen capture attached, showing Notepad with these things. As the window moves, the coordinates in the boxes update in real time. I would really to switch them off. But . . .
I am baffled by what app or service is producing this display and am posting my query here because of Jon and Keith's deep understanding of Windows Interface. Perhaps a forum member might also recognize them and their source.
I have repeatedly checked the relevant load lines in the Registry for Windows Start-up and am reasonably confident that no third party app is producing the coordinate boxes.
I thought it might be an item from Windows Ease of Access components but can't find an obvious origin there either.
So I am at a complete loss — any suggestions most welcome!
ALL GOOD WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR!
