I have tried going back to version 9.1, still the functionality is open contaning folder in explorer.
I assume this must be a registry setting that is now being picked up by all versions of DisplayFusion.
Any ideas how to change it back?

ahh, this is so frustrating. I hate windows file explorer.
I have used directory opus for years.
why does DisplayFusion now open Windows file explorer to the folder that contains the image, rather than just opening the image?

Thanks for the reply.
That is odd, deffinitly always opened in Directory Opus Viewer for me.
been that way for a couple of years.
Only updating made the behavior change.
Any Ideas on what else may have changed? Windows? Directory Opus?

I just did a quick test.
I reinstalled Version 9.4.3, double clicking opens Directory Opus to the folder folder which contains the wallpaper image.
I then installed version 10 beta 16, double clicking opens windows explorer to the folder which contains the wallpaper image.
Then I installed version 9.9, this also opens windows explorer to the folder which contains the image.
Version 9.1 also opens Directoy Opus.
9.4.3 and older versions allways opened the picture and not the folder, until I updated beyond 9.4.3.
Something has definitly changed, now DisplayFusion is opeing Windows Exporer.
Any command to open explorer on my pc will open Directory opus, now with the exception of DisplayFusion.
Code must have been changed to actually call explorer.exe
Can you please ask the question again?

Hi, is there any update on this topic?
Sorry! Was on vacation last week. It sounds like we used to use shellexecute to get the default handler, but we changed it to use explorer directly because some customer's default handlers weren't responding to the calls correctly.
We'll see if we can add an advanced setting to force it back to the default handler in the next beta.
I'm a bit confused on what end result you're looking for here. When you double-click the image, are you wanting it to open the folder in Directory Opus with the image file highlighted?
Or are you wanting it to open the image in the default image viewer?
Thanks!

Open the image file in the default viewer.
in my case this is the directory Opus image viewer.
somehow, this is the behaviour I have always seen with the older versions of Display fusion.
Ok, excellent. We'll have an advanced setting for the next beta that will do this.
