even years later i still miss it - could you consider adding this?
i mean a speedmeter inside your taskbar next to the clock

Unfortunately it's not going to be possible for us to add custom toolbars to the DisplayFusion taskbar. Maybe something like FreeMeter will work for you? It creates a system tray icon, and you can add a floating graph:
