I was wondering if possible to set different positions in the following:
I have 2 windows with same window class. One has a window text the same every time. The 2nd window has window text that changes each time (so I can't select specific text). I can't figure out a way to position this 2nd window in different location from the first. Are there any solutions to this?
Thanks.
Hi Nick,
Does the window text change to something completely different, or does it change to something similar each time (Ex. Test1 to Test2, Test2 to Test3)?
Thanks!

Yes, it does change to something similar. Similar to:
ABCD Chart - Main
EFGH Chart - Main
1234 Chart - Main
Hi Nick,
The Window Text box is a "Contains" match, so you should be able to set it to "Chart" and it will fire off all three of those windows, no matter what's after it.
Hope that helps!

Sorry, actually one more question. I use a keyboard shortcut with this position profile. This does not seem to take into account the 2nd monitor. Can this also position on another monitor? Or do 2 monitors only work with monitor profiles?

Hi Nick,
Could you also send me over a screenshot of your Window Position Profile?
Thanks!

Hi Nick,
Which one of those applications aren't moving over to another monitor? It also looks like Discord and Chrome have the same Window Class, so you might want to enable the "Window Text" box for chrome.
Thanks!

The "Charts" application is not moving to the other monitor.
Hi Nick,
Interesting, will it move fine if you set it to any location on your first monitor? If you try to move it to your second monitor, does anything happen, or does it just get ignored?
Thanks!

So if it is on the first monitor and I do the keyboard shorcut, it fully expands on first monitor. If I move it to the 2nd monitor, then use shortcut, it will expand on 2nd monitor.
Hi Nick,
If you disable the maximize setting for the program, so it just moves it to the bounds set, does that work?
Thanks!

Thanks, that seemed to do it.
Hi Nick,
Interesting, glad to hear it's working. Does that same issue happen if you enable maximizing for any other applications in your profile?
Thanks!

No it does not seem to happen. Also I tried again with maximizing the Charts application and now it's working. Not sure why. Maybe there is an issue with my 2nd monitor. Seems to be working now. Thanks for your help.
