I've tried the key commands and using Triggers and the woosh sound is being played but functionality isn't. I've tried a full uninstalll / reinstall but prevent window deactivation still isn't working (alt tab will still alt tab, however the windows key button won't minimize the game)
I've tried a number of games but they all behave more or less the same. Its strange because even games I know worked before are no longer working (Overwatch particularly) and there hasn't been a DisplayFusion update (to my knowledge) since i bought it.
I can kinda sorta get my mouse snapping to the very edge of my 2nd monitor if i hold win-key and drag to my second monitor but any attempt to get it further into my 2nd is futile as it snaps right back. I've tried both Lock/Unlock Cursor to Focused Window and Monitor as well as Move Cursor to Next Monitor. Move cursor to the next monitor will move my cursor to the side of the game window/monitor but not to the 2nd monitor.
I notice there's no older builds on steam. It would be nice if you allowed past builds to be installed especially for testing these kinds of problems.
Thanks guys.. The software is great but my favorite feature is dead right now
We haven't changed anything with the Prevent Window Deactivation function in a really long time, so not sure what would have happened to make it break all of a sudden. Did you also try the "Lock/Unlock Mouse Cursor to Current Monitor" function?
Here are links to a few older versions if you want to try them. You can just install them directly over top and it will keep your Steam license and settings intact.
Perhaps its a change with Overwatch? I will give the older versions a try - but do you have any knowledge of the compatibility with OW? (or able to test it)?
I'm having a similar problem with this feature.
When it's enabled and I try to click on something on my second monitor the screen flashes black and I'm left with this
and when it's disabled the whole game gets minimized so it's obviously working to some extent however I wouldn't expect the screen to flash and the game to be left like that.
I made a video to show what going on.... https://youtu.be/HzVFiBz5mOg -- i dunno why OBS goes to black for so long after alt-tab but those parts aren't actually lengthy black periods, just normal alt-tab.
ps. the Unlock from monitor and Unlock from focused window don't have any effect.
We were able to test this out here, and got it to happen once, when Overwatch was set to windowed mode and then we had to Alt+Enter to get it to full screen, but since then we haven't been able to reproduce it.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be something we can fix from our end, as we're not doing anything special, just hooking the focus lost message and discarding it. The function has worked the same way since we implemented it years ago, so something must have changed in Overwatch that is causing this
I have the same issue but with CS GO. Problem appeared after the Windows update (March or April - i don't remember). The function (actually the only reason i bought DF) just stopped working
