Hi, I purchased DisplayFusion on steam and I'm very happy with it, thanks for that great software!

However I have a very annoying problem with windows opened within a particular application (Questrade IQ Edge).

I can save thoses windows positions into position profiles and it works fine and I can load it back.

I use splitted monitor and I try to move one of those window into a splitted screen, look like it doesnt detect it and I can't have it to maximize into that split. It seems to ignore completly the splitted screen.

However, when I do it with any other application, or the 'main parent window' of the application, it works fine.

Any idea how I could fix it?

yes the go full screen (full monitor). They don't seems to work with the splitted screen.

Hi Keith, I think there is a misunderstanding.

The windows are resizable, and I can set them fullscreen using the full screen icon.

I can also size their positions and size in a 'windows positions profile' and it work fine.

The problem is that these windows do not care about the splitted monitor.
They act as it it wasn't splitted at all.

If move them around, I should be able to restrain them to a splitted monitor part.

If I hit the fullscreen icon, it goes full screen (full monitor), ignoring the monitor is splitted.

All other apps I tested works fine I can move them in splitted part of the monitor I want.

I maximized a questrade child window at 14:53 on monitor #4 which is splitted. It goes full screen (full monitor). It is not detecting split when moving the window around the monitor (other apps does)

Not sure if that help, but it is being saved as having a windows class of "Qt5QWindowToolSaveBits" in windows postion profiles.

Hi Keith,

no they it runs on my user account as other apps.

Also, noticed the displayfusion tools icons ( move window to next monitor, Maximize window) do not appear in the top bar of the window.

I will give them a call, not sure I will get an answer though.

If it would be sandboxed, would I be able to save windows positions and sizes in "position profiles" for that app? I'm able to do that and use profiles to move windows around.

Hi, I updated to 9.7 beta 5.

The issue is still the same, I actually do not see any change at all.
Is there a setting I have to change or something?

Hi Keith,

using a windows position profile always worked. I can save positions and restore.

The questrade child windows maximize to full monitor and not to split. When moving the windows around it doesnt detect at all that there is splits.

Hi Keith,

I tried again and what I replied is not completly true.

The 'main' window works when dragging but not the maximize button.

However, the child windows (when you detach them from the main window, using the small icon next to fullscreen) do not work on drag or maximize.

It is the child windows I would like to work, as the main window is always full screen on my #1 monitor.

Let me know if you need a new trial account as it may expires sometimes.

Found the problem.. just tried with the 'demo'/practice app and it is working, but not in the 'real' one, which look exactly the same but there obvioulsy something different. Could it be a class name or something?

Hi Keith, I have installed latest beta (#15), the drag&drop functionnality for IQEdge no longer works.

The last version I had installed was #10, so I had to reinstall it in order for the drag&drop to works again.

Will it be back in the next beta?
