I'm trying to have two different chrome profiles pinned to my taskbar. See attached. After opening up both profiles and then pinning each separately, the below two attached items show up in my taskbar settings. In the process App id section, it shows the relevant profile that's attached. The problem is when clicking either of the icons, it will randomly choose one or the other profile without rhyme or reason. At one point, clicking BOTH icons would bring me to profile 1. Other times BOTH will bring me to profile 4. I even tried wiping out the "Process app ID" section and putting in command line arguments for each profile (like it is on my desktop for each profile) such as " --profile-directory="Profile 4"" and it exhibits the same behavior.
Is there a better way to do this?

You might need to have the Pinned shortcuts separate from the running buttons. If you right-click the taskbar and go to Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Shortcuts > Disabled, then put the --profile-directory parameters back in for both shortcuts, do they work correctly then?

No. No matter, what, if I right click on chrome in the taskbar, and click on "google chrome" to open a new chrome window, it just opens the previous profile that was already opened. Even if I click on the icon for the OTHER chrome profile. If that makes sense.
Could you backup your settings (Settings > Options > Export) and attach them here? (attachments are private by default)
