1) Window Snapping -> "Snapping Mode" does not seem to apply to splits. With or without modifier enabled, it snaps to splits. I prefer moving the window then double click for max when I want to, rather than holding a modifier every time I move one.

2) How about a Trigger for window moved (by user) and an Action to maximize :)

3) In splits, I leave some space on the left for (vertical) MS start menu. When defining splits, I have to... do math and manually fiddle with them.

Today I used preset-splits of 4, then set the left of the first to 160 and width minus 40. Auto-size the second and adjust it's width to -40. And so on. A "start menu gap" or "locked zone" would be great.

4) I can't really make use of the awesome DF taskbar features, because I change configs often. It's just too tedious to redo. The quick-access right click is great for making adjustments, I don't want to change that, but can you put the same options in a single window? With import/export. Also wallpapers.

5) Since explicative MS removed window borders, distinguishing *Windows is often impossible. There's a user script to "highlight borders" which would be great to have as internal code. As a script it was a bit slow. This feature might be a selling point...

Maybe I should make different posts...

1) Windows automax during drag can be disabled with this...

In Window Management -> enabled maximized... -> "Show Monitor selector when dragging non-maximized windows to split monitors"

My suggestion is to make this opt in/out with modifier.

Hey Charles,

1) You are correct, windows snapping doesn't apply to splits. We do have some functions in the "Window Move/Size" section that should move based off splits.

2) Is there a specific scenario where this would be needed over something like "Window focused", "Window restored", or just using a window position profile?

3) Sounds like you might want to use the padding feature here.

4) The taskbar settings are held in the registry, found here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Binary Fortress Software\DisplayFusion\Taskbars

You can export that key to a separate file for each configuration you would like, and import whichever one you need at the time. Note that to import, you should exit DF, import the file, then launch DF.

We also do have a feature request for taskbar profiles, so I'll add your vote to it.

5) I've opened this as a new feature request, and added your vote to it as well. We don't guarantee it will be added, or offer a timeline for when it will be added, but if we have any further information on it, we'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks for the feedback!

2. This was part of 1) where when window moved, decided what to do with it. Max to split or screen etc.

3. Padding manually for one split (the left side) is the same, I want the splits the same size.

4. This is probably easier than redoing them, I may try this..

5. Thanks.

Hi Charles,

1) If you head to the Window Management tab in Display Fusion and uncheck "enable maximized window dragging" this should stop window from automatically maximizing to splits

2) I spoke to Keith about this, and unfortunately this isn't something we can implement due to technical difficulties

3) I see what your saying here. I've noted it down as a feature request. We don't guarantee that feature requests will be implemented, or offer timelines on possible implementation. We'll be sure to let you know if we do add it to our planned features in a future version.

Thanks!
