Recently the random wallpaper changes stopped working on me. The wallpaper no longer changes automatically or if I right click then click "Load Next Random Wallpaper Image" but it will change if I hit apply in the wallpaper window. I've set the interval to 1 minute and attached a debugging log ans debuginfo below. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It looks like DisplayFusion is detecting "NVIDIA Share.exe" as a full screen app. Updating to the latest DisplayFusion Beta will fix this up, as we've blacklisted that process from being detected as full screen :)

Hope that helps!

Unfortunately I'm using the Steam version and can't use my license with the download. I did try uninstalling the Nvidia experience and Share and reinstalling displayfusion but I had the same results. Ran another round of troubleshooting logs attached below. Thank you.

You can actually download the beta from the site and install it over top of your Steam version. It will keep the license info. You can also just enable beta update checks on the DisplayFusion Settings > Options tab, and click the Check for Updates button :)

Thanks! The log doesn't seem to show any wallpaper activity at all, which is really strange. Can you enable debug logging again, restart DisplayFusion and wait 10 minutes, then send a new copy of the logs?

Thanks!

After sending you those logs I noticed an update to beta 11. The wallpapers started changing again but only a few times before it stopped again. Here's a new set of logs. Unfortunately logging wasn't running when the wallpaper was changing.

As a test, when your wallpaper stops changing correctly, can you try Method 3 on this page to see if that fixes it?

I tried the method you linked me but it unfortunately didn't help. The "slideshow.ini" file didn't have any text in it to delete. I downloaded the test build and it did change the wallpaper once when displayfusion restarted at around 4:05 pm but hasn't changed since. Logs below.

Huh, so I fixed it I guess. One of my monitors (monitor 2, positioned on the left) is set in flipped portrait mode. Out of curiosity I changed it to landscape and the wallpapers started changing again. So I started running logs, let it run for 10 minutes, and changed it back to flipped portait at around 20:49 and it continued to change. I don't think anything else has changed just the orentaion of monitor 2. The logs are below but it seems to have "unstuck" itself, and I believe it had something to do with the second monitor's orientation. Thanks for all the help!

I am running into the same issue, but when I try updating to Beta, it says I am using the latest version. Where do I check which version I am running?

@Ryan: Thanks for the logs, we'll definitely check them out. That's a strange fix, but glad to hear that it worked at least!

@Spartan Mouse: There aren't currently any beta versions, since we released 8.0 final a couple of weeks ago. Are you still having this issue with 8.0?

@Spartan Mouse: I assume you mean "havebeen stuck for a while." Could you send over a debug log? Here are the steps:
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Try changing the wallpaper
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
