I have read discussions and the history of wallpaper randomness, but still I can't seem to stop repeat images over and over again. I think my issue is I keep adding to my "library" of images, which is a single directory that DisplayFusion uses.
In advanced settings, I've changed "Days to Expire History Images" to 99999. The default "Don't Store Image History" is unchanged from "Images will be stored in the history (default value)". I assumed this would prevent repeat images, but it is not the case.
Have been using DisplayFusion for many years and have been very happy with it, but the random wallpaper function is just not living up to expectations. It behaves as though adding an image resets the history file, or the history file is just ignored. What am I missing?

Are you seeing repeat images, or is it just always loading the most recent images from your library? If you enable the "Don't store image history" does that make any difference? It definitely shouldn't be possible to see repeats with image history enabled though, the only thing that would reset it would be an uninstall/re-install, the days to expire hits (which is pretty much impossible at 9999), or if it's shown every single image in the folder.

I'm seeing wallpaper that has been previously shown where the only action taken has been adding new wallpaper to the same directory DisplayFusion is pointed to for wallpapers.
I do recall that I had updated recently to a new version of DisplayFusion, though it was not an uninstall and reinstall, unless that is what the update did. I don't know why it would erase and replace the history file, unless there were changes made there and previous was incompatible with the new version.

That seems odd, since I want it stored and it is saying it is configured to store it. It got me curious so I went looking for the history file and...
The WallpaerHistoryV4.db has the correct file date/time stamp for last wallpaper update, so I know it was updated last wallpaper change. That V4 got me thinking that sometimes this file is updated on updates as well, so maybe...
Anyway, I'm keeping a further eye on it.

300K images? Must have been another post, I only have about 4.5K images myself.
Never mind, noticed I responded before you re-edit, too fast response.
