I am running display fusion to span a folder of images over two monitors randomly. Set to Sizing fit best and maintain aspect ratio (clip edges)

No adjustments are set. The problem is that some of my pics aren't lining up, either left side is higher than right or the opposite.

Some pics are fine.. Its my understanding its using the same setting to all pics pan and scan etc.. If it can process one image and line it up correctly, why would another not?

Actually I tried with one of the images that wasn't lining up setting it as a single image and still not lined up. I had to adjust the left side down to work.. Anyway I just thought it would pan and scan the same amount of pixels for both monitors so pics should all line up..

Anyone have this issue? Thanks

If there are no adjustments, everything should line up in theory. Are your two monitors the same make and model? Or are they different physical sizes and/or resolutions?

Thanks for replying.

Yeah 2 x Samsung Syncmaster B2240 running on an Nvidia NVS 3100M. No matter which sizing I select they are not lining up.. Desktop manager for nview is turned off. I have checked the monitors are lined up in resolution settings.

I have to resize the left 15 pixels just to get them to line up and even then they are not lining up vertically either have to really then resize the right more vertically in..

anyhoo.. dont really know how to fix..

Attaching some pics you can see even though the preview is showing they should be lining up in reality they are not..

Ahhhh, I see! The reason that happens is because of the bezels between the monitor. DisplayFusion doesn't know how wide they are, so it can't compensate for them automatically.

However, we're planning to add a wallpaper bezel compensation feature at some point, so I'll definitely let you know when that's available :)

Thanks!

Thanks for that so does that mean everyone has this problem?

Why doesn't the program just not split the image in two exactly and just display each half on each. I am not really fussed about it trying to compensate for bezels happy to have one half the image one one and then whatever the bezel is the other monitor displays other half.
My eyes can see the bezel split is there and know that the pics join together (minus the bezel in between)

Yep! That is how we do it actually. If you look at the Wallpaper_#.png file in %appdata%\DisplayFusion you'll see that it's just one big image that when applied, spans both monitors. There's no adjustments applied unless you specify them, or the monitors are different screen resolutions.

Think of it this way: If you draw a diagonal line on a piece of paper, then cut that paper in half and move them an inch apart (to simulate the monitor bezel), you'll see that they don't line up any more. It's not an issue with straight lines (like the one at the top of the airplane wing in your screenshot), but for diagonal lines, they look weird.

So, as I mentioned, the solution for now is to make the manual adjustments, like you've been doing. When we're able to implement an automated solution, we'll definitely let you know :)

Hope that all makes sense!

Thanks for your replay. To me it doesnt really make sense I have found the wallpaper under that folder and it has saved it as botched file.. ie the two parts dont stick together properly so this is why it is causing the issue. Please see attached screen shot

I guess from here I can manually adjust the pic myself?

Not sure why it can't just leave the original image as it was, split it and put it together lined up..

Do you have any Horizontal/Vertical adjustments for either monitor in the DisplayFusion Wallpaper window though? If you set them to 0 and apply the wallpaper again, that generated image should look like one giant image without any adjustments.

ok thanks you are right. I set to no adjustments and it saved the image perfectly.

Even using windows itself to set the image as wallpaper 'tile' it stuffed it up. So I guess the issue does not lie with Display Fusion at all but with my video card or driver?

Both identical monitors at same resolution.. still an annoying issue :(

It's not actually a bug with anything (DisplayFusion or otherwise), it's just that the computer (and DisplayFusion) don't know how much to adjust for the bezel in between the monitors (the black plastic at the edge of the monitor). But as I mentioned, we're hoping to add a semi-automated feature for compensating for the bezels in the future, so I'll let you know when that's available :)

Thanks!
