So displayfusion (im sure you guys hear this alot) = life! ESPECIALLY for multi gpu/multi display gamers.

That being said, apart from really shoddy software most of the time, razer stuff is pretty darn central to my functioning as well.

If you recall - i posted previously about razer synapse window location not moving properly with displayfusion window location profiles.

This probably isnt a displayfusion thing, as no matter where I size or position the window, when I restart the program/pc it just pops up way off in hell's half acre anyhow. I dont think razer created it with any means of saving the window location and while shortsighted, I dont think its fixable without either razer, or at best some registry modifcation slightly beyond my time/willingness to look into.

Shame as it means i have to position it prior to running a game as opening it in game prior to positioning it (every restart) means being booted out of the game essentially :P

So thats totally off topic - The issue im posting about/now having is razers profile system. Again, im SUUURE they arent going to re-write it for it to function properly in regard to displayfusion so im hoping you guys have some sort of work around or idea?

Basically it will switch your macros, keybinds, color profiles, everything when you load and/or exit a game. Same goes for loading a game, and moving out of it and giving a window outside of the game focus (aka a borderless game moving to an accessory monitor browser window) the profiles switch to and fro just fine.

The issue (one of a a literal PLETHORA im afflicted with due to SLI+Surround+accessory in portrait to boot) is when I go fullscreen with a game. This requires displayfusion to work its magic. Im able to use my prevent deactivation hotkey to move to and fro which allows me to use SLI in game, and still be able to use my accessory display. Absolutely unequivocally the pinnacle of DF features for me. Central to me enjoying my pc.

Problem is - the minute I engage the hotkey/prevent deactivation, is the minute my profile stops switching. This means A) my colors not switching which is largely aesthetic but also lets me know im back in "normal" mode and B) more importantly, things like my rapid fire keys macros getting stuck either on or off which makes using my browser a shitshow when it starts spam opening tabs and things or just the same, my binds and such being missing in game.

I hope this all makes sense. Basically however razer picks up/applies profiles based on window focus, is lost when prevent deactivation is engaged based on how it works.

Im not sure if a workaround or suggestion is possible without a major concession from either side if at all. Its above my paygrade :P

Figured id throw this out there and see if you guys had any ideas but its probably out of your hands to. Even if a hacky type fix or bandaid was possible it would be great. If not ill be stuck trying to manually swap them after i engage displayfusion for the time being. Another caveat of a more niche build. At first the cool factor outweighed everything. But slowly the issues piled on. Cant use display capture with obs due to multi gpu. Cant use Shadowplay due to surround/orientation. Cant use NVFBC with steamlink due to surround. Let alone the aspect ratio issues and window snotifcation issues presented due to accessory display.

What a doozy.

I can definitely understand the frustration there! Unfortunately it doesn't look like there's anything that can be done there from either us or Razer.

If the Razer app switches profiles based on window focus, that would be why it's not happening when Prevent Window Deactivation is uses. That function in DF basically just intercepts the "focus lost" message and throws it away, so that the game doesn't know it lost focus, and thus stays on the screen instead of minimizing. My guess would be that the Razer app hooks the game as well, and waits for that "focus lost" message to determine whether it should switch profiles :(

Sorry for the bad news!

its okay :)

thank you for being helpful as always! At least i now know for sure.

Its one of those caveats it appears im going to have to live with as penance for going SLI/Surround etc. reaaaaally giving some long hard thought into what to do next time i upgrade.

Especially now that world of warcraft is throwing out exclusive fullscreen completely with BFA. Means 0 SLI and my performance at this resolution takes a huge nosedive anyhow. Think multi gpu is finally on its way out, and with it the chutzpah to push a high resolution at least with current cards/cards of the forseeable future.
