As the title suggests, my Remote app for DisplayFusion has just, stopped working. I use Windows 10 on my main machine. Phone is on Android 9
I have tried restarting both my computer and my phone.
I have checked that Displayfusion is allowed through Firewall.
I have tried both the automatic and manual adding methods.
    I have reinstalled the app.
I have checked for updates for my phone software.
I have also tried turning off all VPN softwares I have running (although it worked with them previously.
I also tried installing Displayfusion on my Windows 11 laptop. I am also unable to get a connection to it.
Is there a known issue with this feature? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Could you send me over a screenshot of your DisplayFusion Settings > Remote Control tab?

Attached is the requested screenshot. Remote control is enabled (as it always has been), and I did click "Apply". Again, I made no changes that I was aware of. It all of a sudden just stopped working.

Thanks for sending that over. When you open the app on your phone, does it not show your computer at all, or does it show it but fail to connect?

If you disable your firewall temporarily, does it work?

Do you have another device on that same network you can install DisplayFusion on to test with as well?

Hi Owen,

Some good news. I took another look at the firewall settings on both my laptop and my main desktop. After disabling the firewall on my laptop, I was able to get the device to appear in my app. So, went back to my desktop to look at firewall settings. There were actually 2 entries for Displayfusion there. One did not have the checkmark next to the "Name" field filled. I checked that, and double checked both were marked to be allowed through on private and public networks. I was able to get the request code again, and my app is now functional. Thank you for your assistance on this issue! The team here is always very helpful whenever I run into issues with the software. Thank you for all that you do :)
