The title pretty much says it all. When I open Remote Desktop Connection, do what I need to do, then close the program, the application still appears in the Multi-monitor taskbar. Using Aeropeek and clicking the 'x' button doesn't even remove it. The only way I can remove it is by exiting, and restarting Displayfusion.

Thanks for your help!

Is it the normal Remote Desktop Client (mstsc.exe) or the Windows 8 "Metro" app?

It's the normal (mstsc.exe) app.

Ok, interesting! I've never run into that before. Would you be able to send over a debug log? Here are the steps:
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Hi,
I got today a similar issue, after close down of the remote desktop connection to my desktop computer.
When i unlock the desktop it has multi-monitor taskbars on my primary screen above the windows taskbar.
Screen 4 has none taskbar, and screen 2 and 4 has multi-monitor taskbar.

Strange after I did a remote desktop connection from my desktop computer to another laptop everything was on the right side displays, displayfustion on that host did say screen 3 and 4 when I moved a window, but anyway.
I pulled down and hide the remote desktop session from my desktop machine and then everything was back to normal on my desktop computer...

Dont understand why, but now everything is back as it should be...

Hope it does not come back.

As luck would have it, this issue hasn't occurred since I turned on logging. Hopefully it was just a fluke, but if it starts happening again I'll report back here.

Thanks for the support! :-)
