I'm running Office 2013, and Lync 2013 specifically, well.... it sucks. One of my main beefs with it is that the conversation windows always open so small. What I'd love to be able to do is resize only some of the windows. I don't want to resize the contacts list because it opens properly (top-to-bottom, left-hand side), but I would like to resize each conversation window. They open way too small for the chatty pleople that seem to want to bother me at work.
The best, or most controlling, way I can think of to do this is by window class, at least for Lync. The conversation window has a class of CommunicatorMainWindowClass, but the individual conversation windows are the very common NetUIHWND. So what would work for Lync, at least, is to be able to set a window location rule only for top-level NetUIHWND windows from the lync.exe process.
Thoughts? Is there another way to do this that maybe I'm not realizing?
It's not currently possible to do what you're looking for, but allowing the Window Location rule to specify the window class is an interesting idea. I'll add this to our feature request list.
Thanks!
