Hello DisplayFusion Team,
I recently purchased DF Pro. I am quite pleased by the new functionality it adds to my dual screen setup.
Though, some inconsistencies regarding the resemblance of the original Win 7 taskbar catched my attention.
First, I will explain a (minor) difference between Win 7 and DF taskbar:
On top is the original Win 7 taskbar, the DF taskbar on the bottom.
As you can see, the distance between the start button and the first window button is not the same.
I don't want to come across as pedantic, but I notice such small differences
, and i guess it's easy to fix.
Many other things that I noticed are quite surely already known, so forgive me if I am redundant here:
- 1 Taskbar notification blinks for longer than the original one. Maybe this should be configurable?
- 2 Taskbar notification looks a bit different, original one has a slight gradient:
Again, original taskbar on top. I aligned it a bit differently to also show the difference in width of the two buttons.
- 3 Titlebar buttons show before the window itself, when restoring while window animations are activated.
- 4 Window preview fades in and moves differently. Why can't I deactivate the animation, so it would be consistent when taskbar animations are turned off in windows settings?
- 5 Right click on taskbar item doesn't show the same menu. (Actual Multi Monitors manages to do this btw, although the GUI of this program is poor, no alternative to DF Pro. )
- 6 Start button mouse-over animation doesn't fade in.
- 7 Start button looks a bit different compared to the original one when clicked. (Very minor differences.)
- 8 When right clicking on a preview window of a minimized window, the window shows and the preview window disappears. The original Win 7 preview behaves differently. It doesn't make the preview disappear when right clicking and doesn't make the window show. (Except when you mouse-over, but when the context menu shows, the window disappears again.)
I hope I was clear enough in my descriptions, I am not a native speaker.
Best regards,
Sebastian S.
