Just started using the new (unequal) split monitor feature. Neat! I'm using DF v7.0 beta 6.

Didn't realize that I had to reconfigure the screen saver as well. So when it kicked in, I dragged my finger across the mouse touchpad, I got no response (to either, one PS2, one USB). Touching the spacebar on the keyboard brought it out of screen saver mode.

Interestingly, this only happens when all the virtual monitors are at their default of "-- No Screen Saver --". (Yes, "Allow DisplayFusion to manage the screen saver" box is checked.) As soon as I configured any of the virtual monitors to "DisplayFusion Photos Screen Saver", then the mouse brought it out of screen saver mode.

Also, when the screen saver is active, the DF taskbars remain visible but the Windows taskbar is not (yes, this monitor is split).

And a question, is it possible to ignore virtual monitors for the screen saver so this works on a physical monitor level? Maybe through scripting?

Thanks for the feedback! I'll test these out here and keep you posted.

You can indeed have the Screen Saver feature ignore the splits, by disabling the Screen Saver checkbox in the Monitor Configuration window :)

I haven't been able to reproduce these issues on my system yet. Which version of Windows are you running? If you could attach a copy of your troubleshooting info, that would be great :)
  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the Copy to Clipboard button
  • Open Notepad, paste the text, and save the file
  • Reply with the text file attached

I updated to v7.beta7 yesterday and have had no problems since. Maybe it was just a beta glitch that got fixed along the way, or something with my particular installation that has now righted itself with the new update/install. You know what they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! ;-)
