Hi just trying out Display Fusion and so far I like it a lot- gets past some shortcomings of Actual Multiple Monitors such as it will over-ride Nvidia active monitor settings- useful when your GPU only supports 2 monitors but you have more than that (no need to check/uncheck monitors in the Nvidia control panel).

Anyway one feature I really like on AMM is that you can set a screen saver to activate independently on an idle monitor. Unless you move your mouse onto that monitor it keeps on going (in my case photos) regardless of what you are doing on your other screen/s. I see there is a screen fade option - so maybe it's not too big an ask?

Thanks for checking out DisplayFusion and for the kind words! We do have something like this on our feature request list so I've added your vote to it. We'll definitely let you know if/when we're able to implement it.

Thanks!

Good luck, they've been adding our votes to the feature for, what seems like, 10 years. I love DisplayFusion -- it's such a fantastic utility, but I have a feeling this potential feature will never see the light of day. I'm hopeful that my assumption is incorrect, but I guess we'd better just forget about it for the time being and if we get lucky down the road, then I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I would really like this feature implemented too! I have 4 monitors connected to a 1070 and my 4k to a 2nd 1070. I use the 4k for movies/media most of the time and would be really sweet to run the screensaver independently when it's sitting idle.

Hi Shane,

This isn't something we've been able to add yet, but it is still on our feature request list.

Thanks!

It's worse than you think. It wasn't two years ago, and it doesn't just seem like 10 years ago -- this was requested in 2011: :x

Hi all!

Over the year's we've accumulated hundreds of different feature requests, and not all can be implemented. This is one that will likely not get implemented, due to the way screen savers work in Windows.

It's not possible to tell Windows "show a screen saver on this monitor, but not that one." So in order to implement this, we'd have to completely write our own screen saver functionality, and then we start to get into security issues. With the Windows screen saver, when you have the "require password" setting enabled, Windows locks the desktop and starts the screen saver on a secure desktop. We don't have a way to do that in code from scratch.

Just wanted to provide some context here. We still track votes for feature requests so that in case it becomes possible in the future, we can follow-up to let everyone know.

Thanks!

well that's not right because actual multiple monitors has it, not that it works properly
