i could be wrong but since beta 3 my monitors no longer go into screensaver after the period of time i have selected when the pc is idle. also if i lock my computer there is no screensaver initiated.

also, what is this 'screen saver at windows log on' feature about?

ps you guys should add a lightbox feature to your site for embedded images.

looks like this isnt a displayfusion issue. its chrome. when you open windowed versions of websites(not tabbed) and have them visible it wont let the screensaver function. if you minimize them to the taskbar so they are not visible then things function properly. is this a chrome bug or by design do you think?

still want to know: "also, what is this 'screen saver at windows log on' feature about?"

Wow, that's really strange! I've never run into that on my system before, so I can't offer much advice on that, sorry!

The windows logon screen saver is the screen saver that will show up when the system is at the logon screen with no users logged in (i.e. after a fresh reboot, or a full logout).

Just did a quick search and found this thread: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/j9trSWDFZAE. Sounds like Windows maybe thinks Chrome/Firefox are full screen because they have no caption bar?

how come the full list of screensavers is not there? i cant seem to find ribbons for this setting. also ive never tested screensaver at full logout or fresh reboot but doesnt it normally just use the regular screensaver?

Screen savers that use DirectX don't work at the logon screen when no users are logged in. If a user is logged in and the workstation is just locked, it will use the user's screen saver, and DirectX screen savers (like Ribbons) will work fine :)

cool thanks for the explanation! here is my ongoing bug report for chrome on this screensaver issue. i dont really think its a chrome issue anymore. you can see the video requests happening with these sites though:
