How should "Show in alphabetical order" work in the wallpaper settings?

My folder has files with the following naming standard:
"_9999 "rest of file name i.e. [underscore][4 digits 0-9][space][followed by filename]

When I use "Show in alphabetical order" the images are not shown in the order as shown in windows explorer when sorted by Name. That is basically in ascending numeric order of the four digit number.

See attachment.

Is this the expected behaviour?

Many thanks, John

I've just tested here with 10 images:
_01
_02
_03
_04
etc.

It seems to work correctly for me. What order does yours seem to be following, is there any noticeable pattern to it?

Here's what I've found:
- on my wallpaper I show "Info"

- specifically I want to use <wp-exif-cameramodel>

- if I use <wp-filename> the wallpaper is displayed
correctly in alphabetical order

- if I use <wp-exif-cameramodel> the wallpaper is
displayed in random order

- this is true if one screen uses one and the other
screen uses the other as per the attachment
