Hi

I am totaly new to DisplayFusion, and currently testing it, for my work we are in the process of buying 49" SuperWide screens, and Display fusion looks like the perfect choice to create usable work areas on this screen.

But when I have installed DisplayFusion, and made a profile with 3-5 splits, the cpu load for DisplayFusion is always arround 5% of my CPU I7-8550U and everything is working slow and lacking.
When I uninstall DisplayFusion again everything works in normal speed.

But I have not found any way to get the speed up to normal, is this normal or is there any way to gain speed with DisplayFusion installed?

If you disable the multi-monitor taskbars and titlebar buttons, does that have any effect on the CPU usage?

Disabling the multi-monitor taskbar dropped my CPU from around 2.6% to 1.1%. This is significant since my CPU fan kicks in when the total CPU load is above 5%.

However, not having the taskbar on the 2nd monitor is not that desirable for me.

DisplayFusion has to do a lot of polling to keep everything updated, so it will use some CPU, even when "idle."

There are some advanced settings you can try enabling that might help a bit:

  • Disable Application Hooks
  • Disable WMI Polling
  • Run as a Low Priority Process

Hope that helps!
