Hi,

The useful functionality in DisplayFusion that we can add some shortcuts on the DF's taskbar is not working well because all shortcuts are incredibly slow !

I see this behavior from DF on about 5 different computers, and since a long time, so that's not looks like a computer issue or a specific DF release issue.

For example if I have a shortcut which launches the Windows explorer to display C:\ root drive folder ("explorer.exe c:"), launching it through the command prompt ("explorer.exe c:") will takes only some milliseconds, it's almost instantaneous for getting the explorer windows. If I set a shortuct on the DF's taskbar, it will takes 2 seconds...

Why this is so long ? This issue is the same for any executable called, file or directory opening..

It can take a bit longer if DisplayFusion is busy doing other stuff when the shortcut is launched, but we've fixed up some performance issues in 6.0 Beta 6. Could you try updating (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and let me know if they still open slowly in 6.0 Beta 6?

Thanks!

This issue does not seems to be dependent of any other DF's tasks. It's always, for me, and DF CPU usage still null, even when I click on the link. So i don't think that is the source of the issue.

However I'll try the beta version you give (next Monday) and I'll say if it's changing something.

Thanks,
Maël

Hello,

YES, the beta 6 solve this issue ! Now, it's almost as far as normal shortcuts !

Thanks a lot,
