Hello,

This is my first time using Display fusion, so apologies for any questions that may sound silly.

I have a Windows 7 PC which acts as a server for a CCTV application. This CCTV appliction also comes with a Windows based viewer app and I'd like to connect a 32" Smart TV which would be used to display the CCTV applicaiotn output.

I hope Display Fusion works well with Smart TV's?

The Smart TV will connect to the Windows 7 PC running Display Fusion and display only the CCTV app while on the PC's monitor I continue doing my other office work.

Hope such a scenario would work well?

Such a scenario is indeed possible. A smart Tv functions like any other TV. you will need to put it on whatever input you have connected to the PC.
But you will need to setup several things, to make it work like you intend:
If your Ok with a few steps every-time you restart. this is the simplest way to get what you want done. (Otherwise we will be needing a custom function)

Assuming you have the latest BETA for display fusion)
1. Go-to Window Management tab in the display fusion settings. and check 'Move Newly opened windows to current monitor'
2. OPTIONAL: set a hotkey for the function 'always on top'

3. Now open your CCTV app, put it on the screen you want.
4. OPTIONAL(requires step 2): With your CCTV app in focus press the hotkey for 'always on top' (This prevents other windows that may briefly be on the TV before Display fusion can move them, from being visible (since the CCTV app is above them)

5. Then move to your monitor (the screen you want everything to show up on) and click somewhere on the desktop (This makes this your 'current' monitor)
6. Then press Shift+Ctrl+Z hotkey This will lock your mouse to your 'current monitor' so it doesn't go over to your TV

Now anything else you open should be on your monitor (or if it opens on the tv, it will be pushed to the monitor within .5 secs) and your mouse wont go on the TV screen

If this meets your needs, the steps can be automated so you don't have to do them every time you restart
