Depending on your screen resolution, the DisplayFusion taskbar will cause Windows to adjust the desktop icon grid, because the monitor's usable work area is different. Unfortunately the only workaround is to right-click the desktop and disable the View > Align icons to grid option. That should allow you to position them wherever you like.

Thanks!

Not sure if this is what you're looking for.
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/how-to-change-desktop-grid-size/1a2fa51a-a46c-4116-8de3-ffc04fd52abb

1. Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize"

2. Select "Window Color" from the group of icons on the lower edge of the Personalization window that appears.

3. Select "Advanced appearance settings..."

4. In the Window Color and Appearance window, you can select an item to customize from a drop-down list, start with "Icon Spacing (Horizontal)" to adjust the right-left space between icons, and then "Icon Spacing (Vertical)" to adjust the top-bottom space between icons.

@Kevin: Unfortunately not, Windows just sets the grid automatically based on the work area (which changes when an AppBar like the DisplayFusion taskbar is added to the screen). Hopefully Bobloy's solution will work for you though :)
