Hi,

I have the problem for quite some time that the tray icons in the Displayfusion taskbar are a bit too large and therefore most of them displayed blurred or pixelated.
I'm using 2 monitors each with a resolution of 1920x1080 and the default DPI (100%) settings for both monitors.

It's obviously not a big problem, but it would be nice if we could solve it anyway. :)

Greetings

I was able to solve it myself. It had nothing to do with DF.
The Windows 10 tray icon cache was corrupted for unknown reasons.

After forcing a refresh of that cache the tray icons on both taskbars now look identical and much better also.

If you have the same or a similar problem with the tray icons you could try that method too. It is done quickly and should not cause any problems.

How to clear the tray icon cache and force a rebuild of it on Windows 10:
  • Start regedit.exe and navigate to: "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify"
  • Terminate explorer.exe.
  • Delete the value named "IconStreams".
  • Start explorer.exe (e.g. via task manager > file > run new task).
  • Fin!
