Hi,

I recently just switched over from Ultramon after upgrading to Windows 7, since it caused some system instabilities. I have to say I'm liking what DF is offering, since it fully replaces the primary functions I use in Ultramon for multi-monitor setups.

However, some quick questions as I'm new to this program.
Is there a way to change the settings on the multi-monitor taskbar such that it behaves and exhibits the same functions as the "primary" taskbar of Win 7? I.e. pin programs to the taskbar and collapse multiple windows of the same apps to one icon? I wasn't able to find this option anywhere.

In addition, how can I make it so that the icons on the taskbar such that it only display the icons and not the full title? I.e. on my primary side of the taskbar it shows the "icon" of MSN, but if I drag MSN to my 2nd monitor, the icon is there, but it also says "Windows Live Messenger."

Is it possible to also add a button similar to Ultramon on the "windows" of apps such that I can just click the window and shift it to another monitor (without dragging it). I know there's a hotkey ctrl+win+z to do this, however, I'm not much of a hotkey person as I prefer clicking.

Anyways, these are just minor things. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

After spending sometime into the titlebar menu, I finally realize what it's the "titlebar" option is. So I solved my own problem for my last question. However, I think I'm experiencing the mouse lag that someone else was experiencing previously. Even with "Pause System hooks when a fullscreen program is detected" on, it happens less, but it still occurs once every while. Should I turn on Run Display Fusion as a high priority process?

My system hardware is:
Intel Q9650 3.0ghz
8GB DDR2 800
ATI HD4870 512mb
Gigabyte EP45-UD3R
Crucial M225 128GB SSD

A quick follow-up, even with DF set a high priority process, the mouse lag still occurs. In addition, when DF is a high priority process, it crashes randomly (the taskbar disappears, and under task manager, DF's process isn't there as well, but in Window's event history log, no error was logged). Does anyone know anything about this? I've read some previous posts, but haven't found anything that fixes the lag. The mouse lag does not appear when DF is turned off.

Thank you for your feedback. Let me see if I can address your issues:

1. More support for Windows 7 features is coming in version 3.2.
2. To see window previews on your Windows taskbar you need to be using Windows Aero mode in Windows (your video driver must support it).
3. Does the mouse lag happen all the time, or just in certain applications, or when applications are fullscreen?
4. I have never heard of DisplayFusion crashing while being run as a high priority process. Does this happen in a reproducible way?

Thanks!

2. The windows previews on the taskbar is fine, it works. I was just wondering if the taskbar thing could work like the default Windows 7 bar, which you addressed is coming in version 3.2 :P.
3. The mouse lag occurs sometimes when I open a menu of some sorts, such as firefox's bookmarks or when MSN/AIM/SKYPE pops up a notification, mouse lags again. None of these apps are in fullscreen, it just happens that when something pops up, I would notice my mouse cursor would lag for a brief millisec and then jump. I thought it was a mouse problem, but I switched to my friend's mouse, and the same thing happens. This problem doesn't happen all the time, it's more like random occurrences, especially when I'm playing games at Window Mode (such as TFT2). Lag goes away when I turned off DF.
4. DisplayFusion crashes as a high priority process when I run it concurrently with Windows Media Player while watching a DVD/Movie in fullscreen, or PowerDVD in fullscreen. I don't know why it does that, but when I turn the high priority process off, the taskbar does not crash when I watch movies in fullscreen.

Thanks for the follow-up. Really Appreciate it!
Let me know if there's any additional info you need.

I think the new beta version has solved the mouse lag problem I've been suffering before.

I just tried it out and I think the mouse stutter I was experiencing before is gone. Can't wait until the new features come out in v3.2.

Excellent, thanks for following-up. I've been working very hard on performance issues with the 3.1.6 release and I'm glad to see it's paying off. :)
