Greetings, we installed df a short while ago, and are pleased!
We required the "span window across all monitors" feature, and the hot key combination works wonderfully, but we would like to learn how to configure df so we can span a window across all monitors by default, without requiring the user to press a hot key combination, if possible. The station in question is unattended; uses a web browser to display dynamic data; and we anticipate a need to regularly and automatically kill and reopen the browser; but we have observed that a new browser instance opens in an "unspanned" condition, requiring the hot key combination to span across all.
DETAILS
displayfusion free
two 1920x1080 big screens, oriented vertically, mounted next to each other
Firefox 34 with homepage preset to our html data report (we are open to other browsers)
we need to run full screen (F11), spanning across both screens
html triggers browser to refresh after one minute
if html fails to load just once (due to a momentary connection glitch, for example), cycle ends
we plan to automatically kill and reopen the browser via Windows Scheduled Task running daily in the early a.m.
Windows XP (yipee!)
I would appreciate learning the df solution, if one exists, but I just realized that I can deal with this using a Firefox plugin to hard refresh daily. Also, tweaking the content loaded into the browser so the recycle process survives a connection glitch is not our first choice, partly because the report author frequently modifies the report, and automatically generates the webpage using his report to web software. If there is already a solution in this forum, I apologize in advance for failing to locate it.
Thank you!

Can you send me the commands you're using to kill and re-open the browser? We should be able to turn this into a DisplayFusion scripted function that you can then call from your Scheduled Task.

Good day! We've uploaded a script to the online repository that should do this for you now. Just download it using the "Download Scripted" button on the Settings > Functions tab. It's called "Restart Firefox in Full Screen and Spanned"

You can run this from a Scheduled Task using the following command:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\DisplayFusion\DisplayFusionCommand.exe" -functionrun "Restart Firefox in Full Screen and Spanned"

Hope that helps!
