AFter update to V10 of DF the 2nd monitors start button pops up when clicked but immediately disappears. I reverted back to V9.61c and everything worked again. BTW, your website doesn't have OLD DF versions under the OLD VERSION section https://www.displayfusion.com/OldVersion/ - it's only showing V10. Glad I saved a previous copy of DF.
I can confirm that I have the same issues as Greg on W10 22H2 (19045) with second monitor.
Reverting back to 9.9 resolved the issue.
Greg, if you would like 9.9, I have a copy.

Maximum file size for attachments is 50Mb, have you got an email address I can send it to using WeTransfer?

Works like a charm! Why does Binary Fortress have a web page dedicated to OLDER SOFTWARE VERSIONS without OLDER SOFTWARE? Hmmmm...
It doesn't matter which version you're on, but if you're running OpenShell that's all the info we need. I was able to reproduce this on my end with that program installed as well, so we'll take a look into it.

Same here, Open-Shell 4.4.142.
I didn"t know there was a 4.4.189, I will update it. Thanks!!
I would caution using a "Pre-Release" version of Open-Shell (4.4.189) until the DF v10.0 issue is resolved but that's your choice. As Binary addresses the issue with O-Shell and DF you may inadvertently introduce your own problems by installing a "Pre-Release" (My 2-Cents)

I agree but I have been using 4.4.189 now for about 2 months on 3 machines without issues, and I know of about 6 other users who are also using it without any issues.
If in doubt, use 4.4.170 which is the latest release.
Yes it seems to fixe the issue (10.0.1 Beta 1 with OpenShell 4.4.170), except for one thing.
I configured my taskbar to hide automatically. And when I click the Start Button on the second monitor, the taskbar on the primary monitor go up until the taskbar on the second monitor hide.
I think it shouldn't.
We've released a new beta that should fix this up, please let me know if you run into issues after updating.
Thanks!
Hi Owen
With 10.0.0.101 Beta1, Although the OpenShell menu opens, the sub-menus open to the right of the main menu and then jump back to the left boundary of the screen so there is still some intereference here.
This is a video which show the issue.
The primary screen is on the left, when I click on the Start Button, everything is ok.
The secondary screen is on the right, when I click on the Start Button, the taskbar pop up in the secondary screen but also in the primary screen.
After working with software companies for over 3-decades I am impressed with the quick response of Binary to address; research; repair and apply a FIX this quick for a new release. Kudos to the team for placing the customer FIRST by attacking the issue in record time!
@StudioNeuneu Could you send me over a video of the issue?
@ChrisGorringe I was able to reproduce this on my end, so I've added it to our list.
Thanks!
Hi Owen
Just to say that 10.1 Beta 2 doesn't fix my issue of the OpenShell menu jumping to the left screen boundary on my secon monitor. As that to be expected with Beta 2 i.e. not fixed yet in that version?
Hi Owen
With 10.1 Beta 6, there is a problem with using TeamViewer.
These are the steps:
1. Open TeamViewer and then be ready to launch the Start menu on the 2nd monitor
2. Open a remote computer in TeamViewer.
3. Whilst TeamViewer is authenticatiing but before the remote site has opened, open the start menu on the 2nd screen.
4. Once the remote site in TeamViewer has opened, close the Start menu and try to reopen it again.
At this point the start menu will always flash open and immeadiately close until the remote TeamViewer site has been closed or minimized.
From this point onwards, the Start menu will always immediately close when TV remote site is open. However, if you minimize the TV remote site, the start menu will then behave normally; restore the remote site and it will go wrong again.
If I restart Display Fusion with the TV remote site still open, the start menu then works again.
This only appears to go wrong if I have the start menu open when the TV remote site opens.
BTW, this is with OpenShell 4.4.190.
